Operation Friction: A shift for the Canadian Armed Forces

This past weekend Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) bases and wings marked Operation Friction in varies ways. The operation was Canada’s contribution to the liberation of Kuwait and the Gulf War.

At the ceremony held at Garrison Petawawa 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group Commander Colonel Conrad Mialkowski explained how the operation contributed to a shift in missions for the CAF.
