Chocolate Walnut Cookies

Chocolate Walnut Cookies

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 cup coconut oil (softened)

1/4 cup butter (softened)

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

1 egg

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder and baking soda. Beat the coconut oil, butter and syrup with an electric mixer until smooth. Beat in egg. Mix in the flour mixture and walnuts. Use a teaspoon to drop onto baking pan and bake for 10 – 12 minutes.
