2020 Senior Appointments, Key Positions of Chief Petty Officers 1st Class and Chief Warrant Officers Announced

On March 20th, 2020, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Vance, announced the following Chief Petty Officer 1st Class (CPO1) / Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Senior Appointments that have either taken place or are due to occur in 2020. 

In his announcement, General Vance congratulated those with new appointments and responsibilities. 

Members who are due to retire this year were also announced alongside new appointments.

CWO W.J. Bantock will be appointed task force El Gorah MFO Chief Warrant Officer, Operation Calumet, replacing CWO J.S. Daigle.

CPO1 F.T. Beazley will be appointed Director General Naval Strategic Readiness Chief Petty Officer, In Ottawa, replacing CPO1 D.l.l. Burd.

CWO A.L. Boucher will be appointed Canadian Army Reserve Sergeant Major, In Ottawa, replacing Cwo K.D. Clapham.

CPO1 D.L.L. Burd will be appointed Fleet Chief Petty Officer Atlantic, In Halifax, Replacing CPO1 T.A. Lizotte

CWO R.J. Clarke will be appointed 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group Headquarters and Signal Squadron Brigade Sergeant Major, in Edmonton, replacing CWO. D.J. Hessell.

CWO D. Cormier will be appointed Canadian Material Support Group Chief Warrant Officer in Ottawa, replacing CWO V.l. Gibson.

CWO B. Crocker will be appointed Canadian Forces Joint Operational Support Group Headquarters Chief Warrant Officer, in Kingston, replacing CPO1 L.A.J. Pilon.

CWO L.E. Darling will be appointed 4 Wing Chief Warrant Officer, in Cold Lake, replacing CWO R.J.P.R. Nault.

CPO1 A.H. Darragh will be appointed Base Chief Petty Officer Esquimalt, in Esquimalt, replacing CPO1 I.M. Kelly.

CWO A.J. Durnford will be appointed 4th Canadian Division Support Group Formation Sergeant Major, in Petawawa, replacing CWO T.K. Verner.

CWO J.H. Ellis will be appointed Canadian Forces Intelligence Group Headquarters Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa, replacing CWO J.C. Church.

CWO M.J.M. Godin will be appointed CPO1/WO Corps Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa.

CPO1 I.M. Kelly will be appointed Naval Personnel Training Group Chief Petty Officer, in Esquimalt, replacing CPO1 M.J. Miller.

CPO1 T. Kelly will be appointed Naval Reserve Fleet Chief Petty Officer, in Quebec, replacing CPO1 J.C.M. Giguere.

CWO C.A. Kletke will be appointed 33 Canadian Brigade Group Sergeant Major, in Ottawa, replacing CWO A. Boushey.

CPO1 T.A. Lizotte will be appointed Formation Chief Petty Officer Atlantic, in Halifax, replacing CPO1 D.R. Kitching.

CWO S.D. Mailer will be appointed Canadian Forces Information Operation Group Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa, replacing CWO J.P.R. Boucher.

CWO J.A. Mckenzie has been appointed Royal Canadian Air Force Reserves Chief Warrant Officer, replacing CWO D.C. Stewart.

CWO D.J.P.L. Pignatel will be appointed Director General Military Careers Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa, replacing CWO M.J.M. Godin.

CWO J.P.P.M. Rondeau will be appointed Canadian Armed Forces Transition Group Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa, replacing CWO J.S.R. Lapointe.

CWO J.C.G.C. Thomassin will be appointed Joint Task Force Chief Warrant Officer, Operation Impact, Replacing CWO J.C.L. Aman.

CWO M.A. Von Kalben will be appointed 3rd Canadian Division Support Group Sergeant-Major, in Edmonton, replacing CWO W.J. Bantock

CWO J.A.M. Walhin will be appointed Judge Advocate General Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa, replacing CPO1 J.F.S. Bolduc.

CPO1 D.J. Bisal will be appointed Assistant Judge Advocate General Liaison Chief Petty Officer Pacific, in Esquimalt, replacing CPO1 A.H. Darragh.

CPO1 P.M. Bouthat will be appointed Naval Reserve Regional Chief Petty Officer Atlantic, in Halifax, replacing CPO1 R.A. Chesley.

CPO1 J.A.C. Brisebois will be appointed Naval Training Development Centre Chief Petty Officer  Pacific, in Esquimalt, replacing CPO1 P.A. Fenton.

CWO M.G. Campbell will be appointed Director General Integrated Conflict And Complaint Management Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa, replacing CWO T.D. Halcro.

CPO1 D.E.K. Dejong will be appointed Naval Training Development Centre Chief Petty Officer  Atlantic, in Halifax, replacing CPO1 D.C.J. Elbourne.

CWO J.C.E. Drouin will be appointed Royal Canadian Electrical And Mechanical Engineer Corps Sergeant-Major, in Ottawa, Replacing CWO J.H. Saunders

CWO J.S.K. Dube will be appointed Land Environment Chief Warrant Officer Career Manager, in Ottawa, replacing CWO M. Walhin.

CWO V.R. Gagnon will be appointed Defence Ethics Program Chief Warrant Officer, replacing CWO S.M.P. Desjardins.

CWO T.J. Gauthier was appointed Royal Canadian Dental Corps Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa, replacing CWO T.C. Sinclair.

CWO M.P.C. Girouard will be appointed Air Environment Chief Warrant Officer Career Manager, in Ottawa, replacing CWO D.J.P.L. Pignatel.

CWO M.L.M. Guay will be appointed Director History And Heritage Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa, replacing CWO W.A. Richards.

CWO D. Jones was appointed Strategic Response Team (Sexual Misconduct) Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa, replacing CWO L.A. Marche.

CPO1 N.K. Lachance will be appointed Naval Reserve Regional Chief Petty Officer  Central, in Quebec, replacing CPO1 C. Laviolette.

CPO1 J.T. Mahoney will be appointed Sea Training Chief Petty Officer  Atlantic, in Halifax, replacing CPO1 S.J. Murphy.

CWO G.J. Mclean will be appointed Royal Canadian Air Force Ncm Professional Development Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa, replacing CWO J.D. Proulx.

CWO P.S. Nolan will be appointed Air Maintenance Branch Chief Warrant Officer, in Winnipeg, replacing CWO J.S.P. Godin.

CWO K.S. Northrop will be appointed Director General Land Equipment Program Management Division Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa, replacing CWO R.E. Beaumier.

CPO1 L.R. Pyke will be appointed Assistant Judge Advocate General Liaison Chief Petty Officer Atlantic, in Halifax, replacing CPO1 J.M. Wilson.

CWO M.J.A. Renaud will be appointed Canadian Defence Academy Chief Warrant Officer, in Kingston, replacing CWO G.E. Hoegi.

CWO J.H Saunders will be appointed Toronto Region Assistant Judge Advocate General Chief Warrant Officer, in Toronto, replacing CWO Jones.

CPO1 W.K. Whitlock will be appointed Personnel Co-ordination Centre Chief Petty Officer Atlantic, in Halifax, replacing CPO1 B.A Mondelli.

CWO R.M. Yuskiw will be appointed Director Military Careers Chief Warrant Officer, in Ottawa, replacing CWO M.P.C. Girouard.

CPO2 G.J. Abthorpe, on promotion, will be appointed Sea Environment Chief Petty Officer Career Manager, in Ottawa, replacing CPO1 T.F. Beazley.
