In preparation to respond to requests for assistance military vehicles driving to CFB Borden

On April 5, 2020, the Canadian Armed Forces issued a public service announcement informing local residents that they could see a number of personnel and vehicles from 33 Canadian Brigade Group (CBG) on the roads travelling to Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden on Monday, April 6, 2020.

“In preparation to respond to federal, provincial, or municipal requests for assistance (RFA), approximately 95 members are being mobilized from 33 CBG. These RFAs are expected to be in support of the fight against COVID-19 and other emergencies, such as floods and fires,” read the statement.

The announcement noted that the personnel would be positioned from CFB Borden, to support and react to the needs as they are identified in co-ordination with our civilian partners.

“Members of 33 CBG are trained and experienced professionals who take pride in helping their fellow Canadians,” ended the statement.
