Paige LeClairThe Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) will conduct flybys as part of several Canada Day celebrations across the province of Ontario on July 1, 2019.The flybys will be at various times throughout the day.
Canadians can view the flybys in the following communities:
- Belleville
- Brighton
- Cornwall
- Cobourg
- Lancaster
- Ottawa
- Wellington
During the flyby demonstrations, the aircraft will fly at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest obstacle in their path.
CC-140 Griffons and CC-130J Hercules will showcase their skills across the province, while the Snowbirds and CF-Hornet Demo Jet will be in the nation’s capital.
RCAF flybys, requested by organizers of special events, are carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure public safety at all times.
The RCAF is proud to share in national events, which allow us to demonstrate the capabilities of our personnel and aircraft to Canadians.
Aircraft participation is subject to weather and operational requirements.
