Toys“R”Us Hot Toys For Good Girls and Boys 2014

Recently Toys“R”Us, Canada announced its annual Holiday Hot Toy List, featuring the 20 most popular toys for children of all ages.
Since the beginning of 2014, the experts at Toys“R”Us have been tracking trends and new product releases worldwide to determine the hottest and most compelling toys to include on this year’s Holiday Hot Toy List.

“This year, Toys“R”Us is celebrating its 30th birthday in Canada, while Babies“R”Us is commemorating its 15-year milestone. To mark the special occasion, we are providing gift-givers our largest ever Holiday Hot Toy List and Top Baby Gift List,” said Liz MacDonald, vice president, marketing and store planning, Toys“R”Us, Canada.
She added, “We want to make it easier than ever to select toys and gadgets that the kids on their lists will be thrilled to unwrap this season.”

The lists compiled by Toys“R”Us staff is a sneak peek of what is expected to be in letters to Santa written by Canadian kids this holiday season, including action heroes, paint makers, and robotic pets.
“With so many exciting toys and hot trends in the market, these lists are sure to appeal to kids of various age groups and interests with different play patterns,” said MacDonald.

Toys“R”Us also ensures that each toy passes the “kid test” by enlisting the expertise of 12-year-old Chief Play Officer (CPO) of Toys“R”Us, Canada, Alex Thorne.

“My job as the CPO is to help parents find the best toys for their kids. I play with and review the toys, and think about what is cool about each one on the list,” explained Thorne.

Thorne has given each toy on the Hot Toy List his stamp of approval.

“There are some that will also be on my personal holiday list this year, including Skylanders Trap Team and the LEGO Star Wars AT-AT. I know kids across Canada will be as excited about the toys on this list as I am,” said Thorne.
For baby’s first holiday, new and expecting parents are looking for items that will help them enjoy the journey and make life a bit easier. To remove the guesswork for these time-strapped shoppers, Babies“R”Us, Canada has also released its Top Baby Gift List, featuring 20 must-have items for little ones.
