Canada’s Wonderland hosts Canadian Forces Appreciation Weekend

Canada’s military community is invited back for another year of family fun during the Canadian Forces Appreciation Weekend at Canada’s Wonderland from Friday, June 30 to Monday, July 3.

This year, guests can enjoy a variety of new events and activities Wonderland has planned to celebrate Canada’s 150th. From the Westcoast Lumberjack Show to Freestyle Ski Aerials to Cirque Canadien, there will be plenty of special events to celebrate Canada’s birthday.

Additionally, Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members and their families can enjoy two new rides: Soaring Timbers, the only ride of its kind that sends riders spiralling through the sky on two massive gondolas while sweeping through 360-degree rotations, and the Muskoka Plunge, a towering 60-foot tall waterslide complex.

“Each year, we strive to provide our guests with fun-filled memories and unique, thrilling attractions. For our 2017 season, we wanted to capture the Canadian spirit with a full entertainment experience that embraces the excitement of thrills, live shows and family fun for guests of all ages,” said Norm Pirtovshek, Vice President and General Manager.

Of course, everyone from the military community coming out this weekend can also enjoy the classic annual Canada Day Fireworks at Wonderland, that are expected to be an action-packed fireworks display set to an original soundtrack.

Discounted tickets for family members can be purchased at the park or online. Members must present a CFOne card along with valid military ID for free admission and discounted tickets.
