Low Fair Airline expands service to Abbotsford, B.C.

Flair Airlines is now delivering low fare choices to Abbotsford International Airport (IATA: YXX). The Canadian, independent airline is growing fast and helping with economic recovery by offering flights for the Fraser Valley community for as low as $19.

“We are delighted to see travel and tourism continue to return across Canada. Bringing our low-fare travel options to Abbotsford is important for the community as we deliver more choices and competition for air travel. Our low fares are a powerful tool in economic recovery, and we know that healthy competition in air travel is essential to keeping travel affordable for families,” Stephen Jones, President and CEO, Flair Airlines, stated in a press release.

He added, “Throughout Canada, passengers have been paying way too much for way too long, and it is together with airports like Abbotsford that we can provide affordable options across the country and beyond.”

Abbotsford Welcomes Flair

On behalf of Abbotsford City Council and Abbotsford Airport Authority, Henry Braun, mayor City of Abbotsford, welcomed Flair Airlines to Abbotsford International Airport and expressed the appreciation for more accessible air travel.

The new connection to the west can benefit many military families as they are often separated from their extended families due to frequent postings.

The lower fares could also enable military families to reconnect. In addition, families can take advantage of the non-stop flights at low fares from Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Winnipeg.

The press release also noted that daily non-stop flights to Las Vegas would also start on October 31.

Flair has added three new destinations to their network in August alone. With their expanding fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft, Flair flies to 20 Canadian cities and has grown so much that they will be offering flights to cities in the United States this fall.
