RCAF Flypasts Scheduled Across Canada

Soaring high in the sky, the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) will be saluting Canadian military personnel this Remembrance Day by conducting several flypasts throughout the country.

On Nov. 11, several RCAF Wings will be conducting flypasts at different times of the day. The main event will take place in Ottawa for the National Remembrance Day Ceremony. Along with other ceremonies in the National Capital Region, the National ceremony will feature a flypast from CF-18 Hornet fighter jets.

According to a Department of National Defence (DND) Public Service announcement, “The aircraft will fly over the events at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest obstacle on their routes.

Flypasts by Royal Canadian Air Force aircraft are carefully planned and closely controlled for public safety and are dependent upon weather and flying conditions.”
