In the midst of stormy skies and seas, His Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Ottawa sails in the Indo-Pacific region in our favourite photo of the week.
Seen here, HMCS Ottawa is sailing alongside United States Carrier Strike Group Ships. The event took place under Operation HORIZON on Nov. 19, 2024.
Operation HORIZON is Canada’s forward-presence mission to the Indo-Pacific region. Under this operation, the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) has increased its military activities and presence in the region thanks to the Government of Canada’s updated Indo-Pacific strategy released in 2023.
