2nd appreciation day for Calabogie Peak

A longstanding tradition returns to Calabogie Peaks Resort this winter with the upcoming Military Appreciation Days. The second of two Military Appreciation Days will be on Feb. 28.

Calabogie’s second Military Appreciation Days will be held this Sunday, which make for a convenient getaway for families to attend at a discounted rate.

Members of the CAF are treated with a free ticket and free rental while family members receive 50 per cent off on tickets and 15 per cent off on rentals. Military members and their families both receive a 20 per cent discount for lessons.

“Calabogie Peaks has had a long wonderful relationship with the military. We are situated outside of Ottawa, outside of Pembroke, Kingston and Trenton, all three of these enormous military establishments and they’re all within our range,” said Liz Murphy from the Calabogie Peaks Resort.

Calabogie Peaks has a long history with the military and has been hosting the Military Appreciation Days for years. Murphy recalls that in the 1980s the military conducted blasting training at the mountains that consequently created some of the popular trails at Calabogie, including Face of Tiger.

“So, we’ve had a long-standing relationship with our military. We are very very proud of our military and as such are doing two military appreciation days this year,” noted Murphy.

Military members can also enjoy discounts throughout the winter season, including 20 percent off for hotel stays, mountain tickets, season passes and more.

Military ID is required to receive a discount. To book your trip to Calabogie this winter visit their website.
