Calling defence team youth artists to create holiday greeting card

The Department of National Defence is inviting the children of Defence Team members to submit their original design for their holiday greeting card.

Deputy Minister, Jody Thomas and Chief of the Defence Staff General Jonathan Vance will pick the winning design.

Children from both military and civilian members of the Defence Team, ages 4-12 are asked to submit their greeting card design showing how Defence Team members make a difference. 

For example military personnel performing search and rescue, or scientists developing new and innovative ways to keep Canada safe. More information can be found on the contest submission form here.

Submissions will be accepted until November 26. Artwork should be scanned at a high resolution and emailed here. Click here for the email.

As a recent graduate from the St. Thomas University Journalism program, Paige has a passion for storytelling and investigative journalism.
