Situation resolved in north-side Residential Housing Units at Garrison Petawawa

This morning, the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) advised the public that there was an incident involving a member of Garrison Petawawa in the north-side Residential Housing Units in Petawawa. According to CAF, this reported incident has now been resolved. 

At this point, no details have yet been released as to the nature of the incident due to an ongoing Military Police investigation.  

“There is a military police investigation that is on-going for this event,” said SLt. Pam Bussiere, 2 CMBG Public Affairs Officer, Department of National Defence, “For now there is not much information that can be released. We try to set our priority at this time to ensure that the members have all the necessary care.”

CAF Public Affairs say that residents can rest assured that the situation is resolved, and the safety of its members and their families is always a priority for the CAF.
