Roads closed in Gatineau for Bombardier Patrick Labrie’s funeral

Bombardier Patrick Labrie’s funeral will be held tomorrow, July 6th, in Gatineau. The Military is advising the public that there will be road closures due to the funeral procession. The funeral procession will take place between 10 -11 am.

The route begins west from the Royal Canadian Legion, 176 rue Joseph, south on Rue des Pins, ending at the Paroisse Saint-Gregoire-de-Nazianze, 150 rue MacLaren E. Affected intersections will be controlled by uniformed police officers, and drivers should expect some delays.

As a mark of respect for their brother in arms, 12 soldiers will be firing 36 blank rounds as part of a ceremonial gun salute. This will start at 12:30 pm.

The funeral will not be open to the public or media out respect for the family’s wishes.
