Heroes Gala to raise money for military personnel and first responders charities

To honour and thank Canadian troops and first responders, Health and Charity will be hosting its second annual Heroes Gala on April 6 in Ottawa.

To support both the first responders and military community, proceeds from the Heroes Gala will be donated to Wounded Warriors Canada and the Wings of Phoenix Association. Both organizations support both military members and first responders.

“These people are there to serve our nation and our community, and they make sure we have everything we need. So, in turn, we want to make sure they have what they need when they need. They have the services they need, whether it be service dogs, whether it be counselling, whether it be physical therapy. We just want to support, and it’s our way to say thank you,” said Michele Davis, founder, and CEO of Health and Charity, an Ottawa-based organization that connects consumers to local business that give back to their communities and helps raise funds for various charities.

The gala will begin with a cocktail hour and will be followed by a four-course meal. During dinner, attendees will have the opportunity to listen to various speakers from both organizations. The evening will also consist of a silent auction, information booths on both organizations, a DJ and dancing.

“It’s just a fun night out,” added Davis.

Last year’s inaugural Heroes Gala raised close to $11,000 for Support Our Troops.

The Heroes Gala will be Saturday, April 6 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre.

A limited amount of tickets are available. Single tickets are $125. Ticket pair is $240. To purchase tickets click here.
