427 Special Operations Aviation Squad Accepting Applications

For the upcoming 2023 posting season, 427 Special Operations Aviation Squadron (SOAS) is accepting applications for various positions.

According to CANFORGEN 150/22, Some of the positions available at this prestigious unit include support, specialist, or linguist role.

“427 Special Operations Aviation Squadron (SOAS) provides special operations aviation effects to CANSOFCOM and the government of Canada both domestically and abroad,” stated the CANFORGEN.

Applications are open to Regular Force members, Reserve Officers, and NCMS.

The CANFORGEN states that members can check the Government website from time to time to see updates on the job positions available and their specific requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Those seeking to apply for a job with 427 SOAS must meet the minimum requirements. These requirements include:

  • Meet the minimum qualification level detailed in the employment opportunity description
  • Rank as per perspective MOSID
  • Meet minimum media category for their current MOSID
  • Must meet minimum security clearance level II (Secret). Applicants not already clarified must do so first.

Deadlines

The CANFORGEN notes that application files must be received by 427 SOAS recruiting and selection as soon as possible. Therefore, earlier file submissions will have a greater likelihood of selection. However, even if your application is delayed, you are encouraged to still apply.

This is a highly competitive process, and not all applicants will be invited to complete subsequent phases, stated the CANFORGEN.

The CANFORGEN also notes that the Notice of Intent to apply for 000999 INT OP and 00213 INT must be submitted by Dec. 2, 2022, for the 2023 posting season.

As standard, applicants are required to refrain from discussing their application outside of their chain of command and close family. In addition, nothing should be disclosed on social media.
