Earlier this year, a helicopter landing mishap led to injuries of CAF personnel on Exercise MAPLE RESOLVE. Many of our readers turned to this article to ensure loved-ones were safe and that no CAF member suffered major injuries. The accident involved a CH147F Chinook helicopter in the training area of CFB Wainwright, AB. One member sustained major injuries while other members on board were released with no or minor injuries.

The final report in relation to the fatal parachute accident that claimed the life of Bombardier Patrick Labrie in 2019 was issued earlier this year. The fatal tragedy shook the military community and many of our readers turned to the CMF Magazine this year to learn more about what the RCAF’s Directorate of Flight Safety would say about the incident. According to the report, Bombardier Labrie experienced a bad exit from the aircraft which caused him to become entangled in his static line. Read this article here:

The tally is in! Our most popular article of 2021 is…drumroll please…:
CAF releases new CANFORGEN regarding Combat Boot Reimbursement program. Late last year, the CAF issued a CANFORGEN allowing CAF personnel were now allowed to select the type of combat boots (CBT) that is best suited to them. The CANFORGEN went on to note that “operational footwear is mission-critical, highly personalized, and is an integral component of an individual’s personal equipment.” Read our most popular article here:
