Royal Canadian Air Force to Conduct Flypasts for Remembrance Day

Several flypasts will take place on Remembrance Day as the Royal Canadian Air Force is conducting them across Canada for Remembrance Day commemorations.

Aircraft from Royal Canadian Air Force Wings will carry them out at various times during the day. As stated in a press release from National Defence, the National Remembrance Day Ceremony in Ottawa will feature a flypast by CF-18 Hornet fighter jets.

Flypasts by Royal Canadian Air Force aircraft will also take place in other communities across Canada, as follows:

Alberta

“During the flypasts, the aircraft will fly at minimum altitudes above the highest obstacle in their path,” the press release informed. Flypasts done by Royal Canadian Air Force aircraft are well thought out and controlled to ensure the public’s safety, and the flypasts are only conducted if the weather and flying conditions are safe.
